Just FYI, we discovered today that it is still not possible to have the branding domain operate in SSL mode. This was already the case a while ago as I just discovered
If in an email my CTA uses utm parameters to provide infos to Analytics and Marketo (something such as https://page.mydomain.com/mypage.html?utm_source=email), this will be rebranded in http://link.mydomain.com/XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.
My questions are, aside to the security issues that are pointed out by Sanford in this idea:
- When my lead clicks the link, will the mkto_tok information be correctly appended and interpreted by the landing page?
- Will my utm_source be also correctly left where it belongs and interpreted by the landing page?
I gather that should work, but a confirmation / invalidation would be welcome.
