Tracking Sales Emails - Generating duplicate templates in SFDC

I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue. We have set up a few AEs with the email add-in, we have tracking activated on sales email sent and opened so we can give credit in activity reports in SFDC. When the AE sends the email vai gmail and has it flagged to sync marketo is writing into the activity history but then creating an email template with the content of the email. It's creating data and back up issues in our SFDC instance and I'm not getting a solution from support other than to contact my SFDC Admin.

 

Anyone else having this issue and/or found a solution?
