I think my strongest advantage in the marketing game, specifically when it comes to my company is my exposure. I have seen things, and participated in most of the marketing automation platforms. From Eloqua to ExactTarget, Emma to Pardot my history with each system has allowed me to see the good and bad in all products. I take the good theories and processes from each and apply those ideas into our current instance of Marketo.
Consistency and repeatable practices in our system for our global team. When things are done incorrectly, they are caught quickly which means they are less likely to occur again in the future. Not to mention a beautiful folder structure... at least for my OCD. Some people just don't understand the importance of cleanliness...
My advantage in the Marketing game is Inbound Marketing, and in my earlier work experience in web project management and sales.

My advantage in the Marketing game is to implement basic Marketing Fundamentals in the most scalable ways. To me the entire Marketing automation process can be narrowed down to 4 stages:1. Lead Definition.2. Lead Generation.3. Lead qualification
4. Lead Hand-Off.
I help companies realize and close the gaps between these stages to make sure that their marketing and sales teams are aligned and sales efforts are concentrated. I love the online event campaigns have see tremendous potential in those.

I think my biggest advantage is the open communication between Marketo and Salesforce. I've worked with Marketo to MD CRM and i know the lingo on both sides. Getting them all to sync up is invaluable to our sales team and has helped with everything from events to lead nurturing to revenue analysis.

Our advantage is getting creative with our own product for demand gen to see ROI. When I first started, it was incredible to see the direct impact of my messaging, criteria changes, and the outcomes we saw in-terms of MQL's on social media.
